Project Manager
The purpose of this position is to provide a range of services to the organization in the Program Office area, from business process and problem analysis, to solution design, project management and reporting. The successful candidate would not be a developer, but rather a person with good understanding of both business and technology, with an ability to “translate” between these two domains.
- Tasks
· Receive and understand business problems statements from within the organisation, and match to existing applications, new capabilities, strategic plans, etc.
· Responsibility for the application development lifecycle with regards to the development of the company’s internal applications based on business and functional requirements
· Providing “buy vs. build” analysis and product / vendor recommendations based on requirement and awareness of the Department’s strategic direction
· Build credibility with colleagues and clients by using effective communication skills – both verbal and written.
· Manage vendors of software/solutions and skills used for development of solutions
· Assist the managers on planning jobs and liaise with planning department
· Manage, monitor and report on the progress of internal-sourced solutions. Liaise with colleagues to develop plans and resolve issues that may arise.
· Develop and monitor the Department’s project reporting to the Head of Department and senior management.
· Monthly budget reconciliations and reporting

- Qualifications
· Minimum requirement is a Matric certificate. Relevant studies will be advantageous
· Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
· At least 4 – 6 years relevant experience in managing IT development and deployment projects, etc.
· Project management training and/or experience will be an advantage (e.g. Prince)

- R400,000.00* P/A (Negotiable)
