Recruitment Agencies

If you are seeking employment, then Recruitment Agencies will be places of special interest to you. During the normal course of our working lives we pay scant regard to recruiting agencies, because our employment is secure, and something we most often take for granted.

The nature of life is such that change has to happen at some stage, and changing jobs or careers rate right up there with moving house as one of the single most stressful experiences any person can have. So when the time for job hunting inevitably comes it makes good sense to seek out a specialist recruitment agency in your search for a new job, alleviating your stress and smoothing over the transition between jobs.

The Evolution Of Recruiting Agencies

Recruitment is a vital function that is required for a company or organisation to maintain its personnel. Seeking new employees in the highly compartmentalised and specialised nature of today’s corporate world is a task that few companies are equipped to deal with internally, giving rise to the specialist recruiting agency.

Commonly Recruitment Agencies are also known as employment agencies, and have historically always had a physical location. A candidate seeking employment would visit a recruitment agency for an interview and assessment before being placed on the agency’s books. From here recruitment consultants then work to match their candidates to the positions clients require filling. Suitable candidates are then short listed and put forward to the client for interviews.

The huge and growing diversity in the job market and the phenomenal growth of the internet has led to many recruitment agencies identifying their core area of expertise and focusing on it, giving rise to specialist recruiting agencies not necessarily fitting the traditional profile.

Specialist Recruitment Agencies

Executive recruitment agencies, or headhunters as they are commonly referred to, deviate from the regular model by actively seeking out and aggressively recruiting candidates that are not necessarily in the market for a job. Here being thoroughly ensconsed in a particular market niche is of great benefit to the recruiting process.

Online Recruitment Agencies

Online recruitment agencies are becoming more and more commonplace, and with the reach that the internet has it makes good sense to submit your CV, as so many more potential employers can be reached via this medium. International recruitment agencies and their agents are increasingly using this medium to search for candidates to add to their books.

Since the millennium the online recruitment website has evolved to encompass the whole spectrum of recruitment. Candidate details get captured and pooled in online candidate management interfaces that can be accessed by clients for a fee.

This online process is handy in helping companies to find candidates that are very actively looking for work by posting their resumes online, but does not attract more passive candidates who needs job opportunities presented to them. Some candidates might also be hesitant to put their resumes on job boards, for fear colleagues or the like might see their resumes online and cause friction at their current place of employ.

Recruitment Agencies will evolve along with the evolution of business and technology, but one thing is for sure – The specialist services of a recruitment agency will never become redundant.

For most recruitment agencies, people are just another transaction, whereas you truly care and take an interest in what you do. You and your staff were not just hands on, you were pretty much fingers in. Wish you all the best in all your endeavours.
